Varieties, Production Methods and Quality Criteria


We provide the necessary testing for entry into the Swiss national catalogue, apply the requirements stipulated in the ordinance, and contribute to the drawing up of the lists of recommended varieties. We also develop new descriptors adapted to the sector niches and requested by the inter-branch organisation, such as the estimate of the straw yield of the various varieties.  

We study the pedo-climatic impact as well as the impact of genotype and cultivation techniques on different quality parameters, particularly on wheat protein content.

Lists of Recommended Varieties

As far as possible, the tested and recommended varieties meet the following criteria: they are adapted to our soil and climate, disease-resistant, compliant with market quality standards, high-yielding and easy to produce.
