In Vitro Conservatory
In vitro cultures are an effective means for practising safe, innovative and sustainable agriculture. The demand for high-quality basic plant material has become crucial for selection and for the rapid production of plants with outstanding agronomic characteristics of interest to the commercial sector, as well as for the conservation of phytogenetic resources.

Varietal Identification
Establishing an in vitro conservatory requires good traceability of the accessions. Molecular characterisation for the identification of accessions is the fastest, most effective tool for ensuring this type of traceability. It also provides valuable assistance in the selection of heirloom varieties to be conserved within the framework of NAP projects (National Action Plan projects for the conservation and sustainable use of genetic ressources).
