Climate Risks for Agriculture and Opportunities for Adaptation

Mit dem Projekt KlimAdapt unterstützt Agroscope den Ausbau der Wissensbasis über aktuelle und zu erwartende Klimarisiken in der Schweizer Landwirtschaft. Die Planung und Steuerung von Anpassungsstrategien an den Klimawandel wird so auf eine solide naturwissenschaftliche Grundlage gestellt.

Es wird wärmer, Niederschlagsverteilungen ändern sich und Extreme werden häufiger. Mit fortschreitendem Klima-wandel werden Anpassungen in der landwirtschaftlichen Bewirtschaftung nötig. Um zukünftige Klimarisiken abschätzen zu können und geeignete Anpassungsmöglichkeiten zu identifizieren, werden im Rahmen dieses Projektes verschiedene Modellansätze angewandt. Zur Quantifizierung und Reduktion von Modellunsicherheiten werden Modell-vergleiche und Modellverbesserungen (unter Einbeziehung reichhaltig verfügbarer Versuchsdaten von Agroscope) fortlaufend angestrebt. Durch eine integrierte Bewertung von Anpassungsoptionen bezüglich möglicher Umwelt- und Klimawirkungen sollen Synergien im gestärkt und Risiken von Fehlanpassungen in der Umsetzung minimiert werden.
