SWISSland is a model system depicting the levels of supply and demand for agricultural raw products in the Swiss agricultural sector. It also projects future developments by accounting for foreign trade in agricultural commodities on the global market.

DSS-ESSA is a model system depicting supply security in case of severe shortages. Both model systems are used to analyse agricultural policy measures. The environmental impacts of the policy scenarios examined by these models can be assessed with SALCA. Interfaces between these tools are therefore important for harmonising assumptions and facilitating and streamlining data exchange.
