Federal Counsellor Schneider-Ammann visits Liebefeld
On 21 August 2015, the Head of the EAER, Johann N. Schneider-Ammann, visited the Liebefeld site to attend the ‘Cheese Valley’ event, where Agroscope researchers introduced the Counsellor to their work on biogenic amines in cheese, as well as a method utilised in the laboratory specifically to detect the Lactobacillus parabuchneri bacterium. In the pilot installation, Counsellor Schneider-Ammann was able to familiarise himself with our analytic work in a cheesemaking trial. All in all, the high-level skills and know-how of Agroscope employees as well as the organisation’s privileged links with both industry and practice were amply demonstrated.
