Die Nationalen Referenzlaboratorien für koagulasepositive Staphylokokken, Listeria monocytogenes, Verotoxin-bildende E. coli und Milch & Milchprodukte stellen durch ihre BLV-Mandaten sicher, dass internationale Laborstandards in der Schweiz zur Anwendung kommen. Dieses trägt entscheidend zur Sicherheit und Qualität Schweizer Lebensmittel auf hohen Niveau bei. Dadurch leisten sie einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Vertrauen der Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten in das Schweizer Vollzugssystem und in die Schweizer Nahrungsmittelproduktion. Internationale Organisationen wie die WHO, FAO, IDF und die Europäischen Referenzlaboratorien spielen dabei eine Schlüsselrolle und Agroscope stellt die Verbindung der Schweiz mit diesen sicher.
