Regulating the Inspection of Organic Recycled Fertilisers

laboranalyse_web

Agroscope coordinates the approval of the laboratories carrying out the inspections of organic recycled fertilisers.

With organic recycled fertiliser samples, the limits for contaminants according to the Chemical Risk-Reduction Ordinance (ORRChem814.81, Annexe 2.6) must be complied with.  The verification of these values must only take place in approved laboratories.

The Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) is responsible for the approval, and has delegated this task to Agroscope. The legal basis for laboratory approval is enshrined in the Fertilisation Ordinance (DÜV), Art. 30a, Paragraphs 1c and 4.
