Less Food Waste and Higher Post-Harvest Quality of Fruit and Vegetables

Nacherntequalitaet Microbione

Research on the quality of plant products encompasses a wide range of questions concerning physical, chemical, biological and sensory parameters. The project ‘Post-Harvest Quality of Fruit and Vegetables’ develops methods for recording these parameters, conducts research on the influence of storage conditions on said parameters, and communicates the results to practitioners. Extensive networking in the international environment with practitioners and with various research groups at Agroscope enables research and development for improving the quality of plant products, helping to reduce food loss and resource use.
