The database was created as part of Workpackage 1 of the WASTEWISE project (WASTEWISE – Waste Avoidance Strategies for Environmental Sustainability). The objective of task 1.1 of the project was to compile Food Loss and Waste (FLW) quantities from existing studies to a database to facilitate further analyses within and outside of the project.
