The new varieties of oilseed rape, soybean, peas and sunflower will be chosen for their successful adaptation to Swiss pedoclimatic conditions, their productivity, and their biotic and abiotic stress tolerance. Species associations aiming to reduce disease and pest pressure will be evaluated. Their development will allow producers to reduce inputs whilst maintaining yield quantity and quality. The introduction and development of new crops that are better suited to coping with recurrent climatic stresses will enable the implementation of resilient and sustainable production systems.
