La création de nouvelles variétés commerciales d’abricots et de poires présentant une haute qualité des fruits, une bonne adaptation aux systèmes de production bas intrants et une bonne résiliences face aux stress biotiques et abiotiques est au centre du projet. A côté de méthodes de sélection classique, des collaborations internes Agroscope et avec l’INRAe seront établies pour le développement de méthodes de sélection innovantes basées sur l’identification de marqueurs moléculaires liés à des caractères de tolérance aux maladies. De plus, un phénotypage digital basé sur l’analyse d’images sera développé pour la tolérance à la bactériose sur abricotiers et à la tavelure sur poiriers. Ces méthodes digitales seront validées pour remplacer le phénotypage classique. La description de ressources génétiques abricotiers suisse pourra permettre d’élargir le pool génétique et d’implémenter certains caractères spécifiques dans la sélection abricotiers.
