Higher productivity thanks to new technologies? Key work-economics figures for evaluating work and production processes

18-11-20-03-01

Work-economics calculation data form the basis for comprehensive work planning on a farm, for calculating labour costs and work productivity, and for assessing physical and mental workload. One of our main tasks is to regularly update these bases.

Agroscope makes key work-economics figures available in the form of manuals and web apps. Producers use these data for full-cost calculations, for available-manpower deployment planning, and for long-term farm planning and development, e.g. for comparisons between existing mechanisation and Smart Farming technologies. We are currently developing an indicator for evaluating the sustainability of new technologies in terms of workload.
