Cooperation between Agroscope and international Institutions

Agroscope cooperates with international institutions. The following is an overview of the individual forms of cooperation.

Cooperation

Involvement:

  • Agroscope is represented in numerous networks, working and expert groups, committees and consultation processes;
  • is involved in scientific and research-related organisations;
  • and participates in consultation processes for research programmes. 

Aims:

  • Representing Agroscope's research interests
  • Coordinating research projects
  • Acquiring third-party funding

Third-Party Funded Projects

Involvement:

  • Agroscope cooperates with institutions within the framework of international research funding programmes
  • and participates in joint research projects. 

Aims:

  • Opening up new fields of research and knowledge
  • Developing and building new methods and competences
  • Acquiring third-party funding
 

Higher education

Involvement:

  • Agroscope offers students and doctoral candidates the opportunity to write their bachelor's, master's or doctoral thesis while embedded in Agroscope's activities;
  • provides an application-oriented research question, modern infrastructure and competent technical support;
  • and supervises the research work in cooperation with the relevant higher education institution.

Aims:

  • Strengthening the exchange of research and knowledge with higher education institutions
  • Offering students the opportunity to enhance theory with practical experience
  • Identifying and promoting talented students and doctoral candidates
 

Partnerships

Involvement:

Agroscope maintains contractual partnerships with other research institutions.
Examples include:

  • Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Letter of Intent (LoI): statement on cooperation with universities, universities of applied sciences and other research institutions
  • Cooperation agreements: bilateral agreement on concrete cooperation in a specific field 

Aims:

  • Strengthening Agroscope's research competences and capacities
  • Opening up new fields of research
