Wädenswil is a vibrant town on Lake Zurich. This video shows how people learn and research here from childhood through to adulthood. The choice is wide, encompassing a variety that is not to be found just anywhere. Not only does Wädenswil have a high-quality primary school and a renowned Oberstufenschule (obligatory secondary school), it is also home to a music school, three vocational schools, an international school, a special-needs educational establishment for young people, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW, the Swiss federal government’s Agroscope research station, and a start-up centre in the Life Sciences sector. All this combines to make Wädenswil a town of education and research.

Historical
The former Swiss federal agricultural research stations, established between the late 19th century and the 1970s, were gradually consolidated in the 1990s and finally merged in 2014 to form the single institution now known as Agroscope.
