Sustainable and Healthy Food
Current dietary habits are often unsustainable (food waste, high meat consumption) or unhealthy (highly processed foods rich in sugar and fat). Agroscope research supports the development of innovative, healthy and safe foods – e.g. dairy products, meat, bread, vegetables and fruits – from production, to processing, right up to consumption. We research together with consumers and develop life-cycle assessment methods that also take account of health aspects. In so doing, we help to advance a nutrition transition corresponding to the potential of the Swiss agriculture and food sector.
