Objective

To develop scenarios for agricultural practices adapted to local conditions (arable / livestock / speciality crops) and assess their agronomic, ecological and economic impacts in a spatially explicit manner that takes account of the needs of the food sector.

Expected outcomes

The potentials and limits of resource-efficient, site-adapted crop and animal production are understood. Specific contributions for overcoming agronomic obstacles. This will uphold the sustainability of ecosystems whilst at the same time ensuring incomes and security of supply.

Mid-term goals: crop rotations, livestock management models and speciality crops adapted to local conditions are put into practice.
