Support Obst – Arbo (SOA) is a joint initiative of Agroscope and the AGRIDEA agricultural extension centres in partnership with the Swiss Fruit Association (SOV) to promote profitable fruit production in Switzerland. The resulting exemplary and pragmatic cooperation between research, extension and practice creates a great potential for synergy. SOA pursues the clear aim of “promoting profitable Swiss fruit production” in a cohesive manner, and offers various production-engineering and business data analyses and advisory bases. The project is based on a network of orchards that gather journal data on a full-costs basis using the ASA-jAgrar software program.
