Caren Pauler studied Biology and Theology at the University of Heidelberg before pursuing her passion for agriculture and science. In her doctoral thesis, she analysed the movement and foraging behaviour of different cattle breeds and their impact on pasture vegetation. Today, Caren Pauler is affiliated with the Grazing Systems research group. She promotes methods of site-adapted, sustainable management of low-intensity grasslands and of mountain pastures. She loves to communicate findings from agricultural science to scientists, practitioners and all interested people.
