What is the state of the quality of areas reserved for promoting biodiversity, and how are the latter changing? Can the diversity and quality of habitats, structures and species be preserved and encouraged through areas reserved for promoting biodiversity?

Indicators for the quality of areas reserved for promoting biodiversity with reference to habitats, structures and species are meant on the one hand to allow us to measure their acceptance by the farmers, and on the other to evaluate whether they allow us to maintain or increase the diversity and quality of habitats, structures and species.

The indicators comparing areas reserved for promoting biodiversity and ordinary agricultural land are:

  • Area with a quality level of 1 and/or 2
  • Percentage of area with a floristic habitat quality level of 1 and/or 2
  • Percentage of habitat types
  • Percentage of structural types
  • Nitrogen indicator values
  • Percentage of ecologically valuable groves
  • Percentage of plant species
  • Percentage of AET plant species
  • Percentage of habitat types, plant species and AET plant species specific for areas reserved for promoting biodiversity
