Trockenheit

A trip along the Aare: With the technical assistance of Agroscope and other federal agencies as well as the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH), the University of Bern and other actors, the Swiss daily paper Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) visualised how things might look in Switzerland in 2075.

Climate change poses numerous medium-to-long-term challenges and risks for the Swiss agriculture and food sector. Agroscope is working on measures to meet these challenges. The important thing here is to understand where solutions need working on today.

2075 along the Aare

Visual depictions could help us form a clearer picture of a situation. Together with other Swiss experts, Agroscope researchers Malve Heinz and Pierluigi Calanca supported an NZZ project that visually depicts the situation along the Aare in 2075. The result is now freely accessible online.
