The Sprouting of Potatoes During Storage Can Now Be Anticipated Thanks to a Predictive Model

Agroscope has created a model that allows the date of sprouting of a given variety of potato to be predicted as a function of climatic variables of the cropping season. The model is based on 25 years of variety trials. The aim is to offer farmers and inter-branch organisations a tool for optimising their storage management.
