Student support

The EAPR is offering financial support to encourage a limited number of PhD students to attend the EAPR Pathology and Pests Section Meeting.

For applicants from EU countries support will be a free meeting registration. For applicants from non-EU countries an additional allowance of maximum 200 euros may be available to assist with travel and accommodation expenses. Travel or accommodation receipts will be required by the organisers for any additional allowance to be paid.

Eligibility criteria and application process

The applicant must submit an abstract for either oral or poster presentation by 31th March 2019 via the abstract submission. The applicant must submit a cover letter of no more than 200 words before 31th March 2019 at eapr.pathology.pests.2019@gmail.com. The letter should include name, affiliation, a brief description of how the meeting will assist their studies and an academic reference contact. The applicant must provide a student identification card from a recognized educational institution. The student card must be uploaded and sent with the cover letter.

The abstract must be accepted by the Scientific Committee for either oral or poster presentation.

Following the meeting, the recipient will be required to provide a short written report on their contribution to the meeting and which may be published on the Section site on the EAPR website.

All applicants will be notified by email by April 30th 2019.

EAPR (European Association for Potato Research) will use the personal information provided through this application process to administer and audit the financial support scheme outlined above, and which may include communicating with successful applicants. Your personal information will be kept secure and not sold or shared with any third party. Details of successful applicants and the financial support provided will be kept on file for 6 years in line with financial regulations. Personal information of unsuccessful applicants will not be shared with EAPR and will be deleted.

Method of payment

  • Payment by bank transfer only
  • Bank details will be noted on the confirmation letter you will receive after registration.
  • The amount must be free of charge or bank commission. Please specify your Surname and First Name along with the "EAPR and Spongospora conference" as reason of payment.

 

Cancellation conditions

  • 50% of the entire fee will be reimbursed, if cancellations received by the Organizing Secretary before 30th of May 2019.
  • There will be no reimbursement for cancellations received after this date. Cancellations have to be done by email.

 

Visa information
