Innovation CATALYSEs Food Safety – Bridging Science and Practice

On June 8–9, 2026, Agroscope will host the World Food Safety Day "From Vision to Action" at it’s sites in Liebefeld and Posieux. This two-day event brings together scientists, leaders, industry experts, and start-ups from across the food value chain.

The transformation of scientific discoveries into real-world applications requires more than research; it requires a bridge to practice. At Agroscope, Switzerland’s centre of excellence for agricultural research, we build that bridge by combining innovation with practical solutions for sustainable and safe food systems across the entire value chain. This commitment shapes our 2026–2029 research programme, placing impact and practical utility at its heart.

Experience the bridge in action as this event unfolds: from building a culture of food safety within a complex global food environment, through groundbreaking science like the use of microbes for PFAS degradation, to practical innovations and start-ups solutions ensuring food safety with rapid testing. The event will culminate in a roundtable that co-creates tomorrow’s pathways for food safety.

Join us on the 8th of June 2026, and together, let’s build a safe food system, from farm to fork!
