Agroscope and the Honorary Consulate General of Russia in Lausanne invite you cordially to a scientific conference in memory of N.I. Vavilov: Beyond a century of conservation of cultivated plant diversity. A wine tasting with old landraces and recent grape varieties will follow the conference.

Note : Nikolai I. VAVILOV (1887-1943), a russian scientist-explorer, recognized by the international scientific community, who left an invaluable legacy still conserved in the N.I. VavilovAll-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources in St. Petersburg. It is the oldest seed bank in the world with a collection of over 300’000 samples of seed.
