Next to breeding, husbandry, and health, feeding is one of the key factors for the economic and environmentally acceptable production of high-quality pork meat. In Switzerland about half of the production costs go into feeding. Therefore, ALP recommends that pig farmers should adjust the feeding regime as precisely as possible to the animals' needs.
