Understandably a lot of emotions, numerous unanswered questions and controversy are connected with the topic of fire blight. Via a form of communication in line with people's needs, misunderstandings, false expectations and concepts are hoped to be avoided.

For this reason, the integrated fire-blight project is developing a simple communication concept. Conferences, workshops and an Internet presence are planned to make fire-blight research and knowledge about fire blight more visible to the public, to further the exchange of information among all participants and thus improve communication.
