Agroscope's research is strongly interlinked with Swiss agriculture as well as other upstream and downstream sectors. Monitoring groups of experts exist to ensure that concerns from this network can flow directly into the research - one group for each of the three Agroscope units, comprising members of these interested sectors. The director of the respective research institute acts as chairman.
As well as introducing practitioner's concerns, the monitoring groups of experts also provide the research institutes with consultancy support and help to introduce Agroscope to the general public. The following sectors are represented: agricultural practitioners, industry associations, consumer, environmental and animal protection organisations, federal ofices and cantonal departments, universities and technical colleges as well as the Agricultural Extension Centre, Agridea.
